Burglar Caught Red-Handed Leaving Scene Of Crime In Central Mass: Police

A 41-year-old suspected burglar had a bit of bad luck early Monday morning, April 10, when police happened upon him as he left the Worcester business he'd just broken into, authorities said. 

Police said they caught a burglar as he'd robbed a store at 425 Park Ave. early Monday morning, April 10.

Eduardo Duran faces a slew of charges following his arrest, Worcester police said. 

Officers were called to 427 Park Ave. just after 3:15 a.m. to reports of a business break-in. When they arrived, Duran was walking out of the building holding a pry bar, police said. He threw it away when he saw officers and ran. 

Duran cut through several backyards to getaway, but police eventually caught up to him and cuffed him, authorities said. 

Duran is charged with —

  • Breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony (two counts)
  • Possession of burglar's tools
  • Vandalism
  • Trespassing
  • Resisting Arrest
